The Sabarimala Sri Dharmashasta (Ayyappa) Temple is one of the most famous pilgrimage places in the world, and over five crore devotees come from all around the world during the season of Mandal Vartha - Makara Vilaku. The devotees must travel long distances and trek the difficult terrains to reach the temple. With the increase in the number of pilgrims year after year, the facilities such as food, accommodation, medical care, sanitation, waste disposal, washrooms, parking, etc, have become insufficient, making it a very challenging situation. To solve the problems, the Sabari Saranashramam Trust has developed several projects to establish adequate infrastructures and facilities.

The Sabari Saranasramam projects also have another objective: improving the quality of life of the tribal folk settled in Poonkavanam. Sabarimala Vanavasis live in misery, and rehabilitating them and providing them with education, vocational training, and other resources is important for them to live dignified lives.

The aim of the three phased project is to meet the basic needs of the pilgrims and the tribal community. Your contribution, no matter the amount, is crucial for the success of this project. We request all our devotees to contribute to this good cause and support us.
